Why HMC matters
Many restaurants describe themselves as halal without any independent oversight. HMC certification is different: the Halal Monitoring Committee independently monitors the whole chain, from slaughter and processing to delivery and the kitchen itself. When you see genuine HMC status, you don't have to take anyone's word for it.
At Tikkas that certification covers our chicken (fresh British thigh, hand-slaughtered), and the rest of the kitchen holds the same line: vegetarian paneer, no non-halal ingredients anywhere, and completely alcohol-free.
What we serve
One dish, done properly: chicken and paneer tikka in five flavours (Malai, Hariyali, Lassuni, Classic, Angara), served as rice bowls, salad bowls, wraps or with chips, at £8.95–£9.95 for a full, filling meal. Marinated in-house daily, grilled fresh every day, no MSG or artificial colours.
