One block north of Oxford Circus (closer than most of the food you can see from the shops), Tikkas trades crowds for calm: a quiet, food-first room where the bags go under the table and the phone gets charged over Wi-Fi.
Refuel properly, not sugar-crash
Shopping is cardio. A £9.95 bowl delivers a proper portion of grilled chicken or paneer tikka with rice or salad: actual fuel for the John Lewis-to-Selfridges leg, without the fried-food slump.
Timing your visit
We're open all day (11:30–22:00 weekdays, 12:00 weekends): beat the 1pm rush by coming at noon, or make it the sit-down dinner after late-night Thursday shopping. Sunday shopping ends at 6? We grill until 7.
